SPEAKER: MARY LACKSEN
TOPIC: “A Journey of a Honey Bee and a Beekeeper”
Join us on Sunday, October 8 at 2:00 pm for our next Sunday at the Museum Lecture! Mary Lacksen is a Georgia Master Beekeeper and operates BeeCo Apiaries near Sparta, Georgia. She began her beekeeping journey in 2009 and manages about 100 hives for queen rearing, nucleus hive and honey production. In the summer, she and her daughter, Katherine, move hives into North Carolina for the sourwood flow. The lecture is held at The Plaza Art Center theater located at 305 N. Madison Avenue, Eatonton, GA 31024.
