SUNDAY AT THE MUSEUM LECTURE

Guest Speaker: Ashley Quinn

TOPIC: Where to find Georgia’s Fossils and the Largest Paleontology Collection in Georgia

Did you know that the largest paleontology collection in Georgia is housed just half an hour away from Eatonton? Did you also know that one of Eatonton’s own has been managing and curating the collection for over 20 years? This lecture will cover the fossil collections housed at the William P. Wall Museum of Natural History at Georgia College & State University, Milledgeville, Georgia. The lecture will cover regions of the state from the northwest Ridge & Valley to the Coastal Plain provinces. You are invited to take a 500-million-year-old trip through the history of life in Georgia and follow one person’s mission to educate its citizens on the state’s paleontological resources.
